Moseley travelled up the M6 to the County Ground to play Stafford in the North Midlands Colts league, With Stafford in 3rd place and Moseley in 2nd place in the league it promised to be a close game. The heavy rain overnight meant limited the opportunities for running rugby. Stafford started the game well and came close to scoring but scrambling Moseley defence kept Stafford out, Chances to score were limited but just before half time Stafford were awarded a penalty close to the posts after Moseley infringed at a ruck. Cal Jones Kicked the penalty for a 3-0 lead at a half time.
Stafford stated the 2nd half strongly and put Moseley under a lot of pressure and were rewarded with a try scored by Number 8 and skipper Dan Morrison, with the heavens opening and the pitch becoming increasingly heavy the match became very attritional. Stafford had to withstand late pressure but remained firm to secure an excellent and well deserved victory and climb to 2nd in the league.
