The home side were looking to extend their unbeaten run and Skipper Jon Hodgkins had included some young colts within the side.

Leek edged themselves in front with a penalty kick within the first 5 minutes but Stafford came back fighting with great determination. Colt Dan Mills and Pete Shipp crossed over the line within quick succession to put Safford in the driving seat and Scott Robinson added the conversion.
The amount of possession began to show and a further drive forward from the pack found Angus Lennon a gap to cross over. Scott Robinson then found himself the space to burst though the leek defence and make a great solo effort to slide in under the posts, which he then converted. Stafford continued to maintain a solid defensive backline and made some good efforts to extend their lead but finished the first half 26- 3 points in front.
The second half started with Stafford receiving the kick and taking the ball in hand working forward up the pitch. The Stafford pack began to drive the Leek scrums backwards and soon allowed fly half Matt Chalmers to score, converted by Robinson. Less than five minutes later another Stafford attack which saw the ball go along the whole of the Stafford backline, gave John Carr a chance to score in the corner.
Matt Chalmers crossed over once again following some tidy handling skills, as Stafford began to extend their control and dominance over the game. Rich Whatling finished off a very strong display from the Stafford pack after the drove Leek backwards. Robinson slotting away the conversion
John Carr scored once more, Before Chalmers showed off his fancy footwork breaking away to complete his third of the afternoon. Converted again by Robinson.
A further try from Ross Norton after a great take from Matt Parton at the restart in which they ran through the whole of the Leek half capped a fine, but muddy afternoon for the Stafford Side.
Final Score 67 – 3
