A great day was had by all.

Junior Chair, Pete Cooke welcomed players and parents to the end of season awards presentations on Sunday, as part of the club’s celebrations of 50 years of junior rugby at Stafford Rugby Club.

There were lots of smiling faces, the sun was shining, and a great day was had by all!

Over the last 50 years the junior section has developed into thriving mini, junior and girls’ section of which we are extremely proud. Success is down to the support, commitment and enthusiasm of our junior players, and our coaches and volunteers. Junior players that started with club in the last 50 years, are now in volunteering roles at all levels of the club.

The junior section offers the opportunity for children of all ages to get involved in rugby, make friends in a safe, inclusive, and most importantly, in a fun environment. We have over 400 children playing rugby each weekend, supported, and coached by our volunteers. Our Stafford Roses girls section ensures girls have the opportunity to continue playing rugby, as they move up from mixed mini rugby.
