U16s Reds V Yellows Ready 4 Rugby

On a Gloriously Sunday morning the u16's took advantage of being on the AGP to play a full game of Ready 4 Rugby.
Split into two teams of 10 and expertly refereed by Colin Averis the U16s played a keenly contested and very energetic game, full of dynamic running, powerful support play and some terrible handling errors.
First 15 mins saw 2 tries from Jonno Birch and Dylan Wild plus a rare score from Archie Bent.
Second 15 mins saw a more one sided game as the reds ran in 7 tries to the 1 from the yellows with scores fromColton, George Stillman, Archie Bent, Jack Taylor-Holiday, Jonno (2) and Oliver, with Max getting the try for the Yellows.
Third 15 mins saw the introduction of some the coaches to bolster the ranks as some of the lads succumbed to minor injuries. However, the word bolster may have not been the right word as Tom was skinned by jack T-H on the wing and Mark some how just dropped the ball. The Reds scoring slowed down in the final third with tries from Jack T-H and Jonno (2) and Max completing the scoring for the Yellows.
It was a fabulous morning and a great run around for the U16's.
Everyone enjoyed the competitive game play and it made a change from the normal training session. There were a few questions raised about the game by the parents such as "Who shot Colton?", "Did tom trip himself up then or did he just not fancy chasing Jack again?" etc....It was a lovely morning enjoyed by all that played and watched.
Hopefully we will be able to play Ready 4 Rugby games against other Stafford age groups in the near future.
