A thrilling rugby encounter between Veseyans Colts and Stafford Colts, filled with intense moments. By The Colts Coaches

The Stafford Colts started the scoring early in the first half, with Marley Thomas crossing the try line at the 6th minute mark.
Veseyans Colts responded with an 11th-minute try, showing their resilience.
James Lynk successfully converted a penalty at the 19th minute, adding crucial points to Stafford's tally and giving the visitors a bit of breathing space.
The game then turned to a very scrappy affair with Stafford unable to hold the ball more than 2 phases and Veseyans kept piling the pressure, they were very unfortunate to see an almost certain try disallowed due to the player knocking it forward while grounding it under Stafford’s posts.
The relief was to be short lived with the Home team finally scoring to take the lead 12-8 with only a few minutes to half time.
However, Stafford returned to some of the rugby they’d showed the supporters in the first 20 mins of the game to see Kayden Robinson pick the ball from the back of his scrum and run a powerful drive that saw the solid number 8 crash behind the line.
Try that unfortunately James Lynk was unable to convert closing the first half on a score of 12-13.
The second half restarted with the home team showing again some of the better rugby which lead to them scoring a converted try 9 mins into the second half. 19-13.
This appeared to sting the Stafford pack in their pride and from there we started to see more structure and support for the ball carriers, Stafford granting us with some good movements involving backs and forwards.
12 mins into the second half and we saw Kayden Robinson score his second try of the afternoon, this one converted by James, a narrowing 19-20 lead.
Stafford were still applying the pressure through its pack and at the 53rd mins of the Game, new signee prop Matt Turner scored his first try for his new club following a blistering series of charges in their opponent 22s, James insured the conversion went over to take the score to 19-27.
That was not enough for the Stafford lads and following a breakthrough in the center of the pitch by Harry Woolman, unusually playing at centre, linking up with his hooker Liam Quindos who setup a ruck. From which a series of pick and goes ensued and at the end of the action it was none other than the man of the day Kayden Robinson diving to score his 3rd try of the Day!!
This one was to the far side of the posts and proved too difficult for James to convert.
With a score of 19-32 and 3 mins left on the clocks many thought that was it but the locals refused to call it a day and following a great move by their fly half who kicked a little chip over to himself over our defence to come crashing under the post and score the last try of what will have been a scrappy yet entertaining encounter, the conversion done we closed the game on the final score of 26-32.
