Archive Open for Business

You may not be aware that a small group of club members have taken on a “Lockdown Project” to collect and collate as much club archive material as possible thereby to ensure that it is kept safely for future generations of club members.

We already have a lot of old match programmes from the past 50 years and documents like fixture cards from 1928, 1932, 1954 & 1956 so you can see we’ve got a fair bit of information already. The club has kept some fairly comprehensive records from 1970 onwards.

We’re now appealing to all club members and their families for any documents or items which might be interesting. We would particularly be interested in anything that you may have that is older than the 1970’s, especially anything which dates before world war two. Some of you may have these from your own playing days or maybe your father’s or grandfather’s days! We would happy to receive these in hardcopy format and guarantee a permanent secure home for them if you want to donate them to the club. Or alternatively we can arrange for an electronic copy to be taken and return the original to yourselves. Of course, we would also be glad to receive anything electronically that you have archived yourself.

If you have anything you think might be suitable then please contact or send it through to:

Dave Ainge
Joe Wetton
Martin Rennard
Steve McLuckie

Who will be happy to discuss how best to copy & return the documents or arrange for it to be taken into safe storage.
